While we work on the long-term fix, there are some immediate things you can do to make your next trip easier. First, movement is non-negotiable!! If you are on a plane, you need to be that person who gets up every hour to walk the aisle. Even simple "in-seat" movements like ankle circles or subtle pelvic tilts can keep the blood flowing and prevent the nerve from getting "stagnant."

Second, watch your luggage!! Please, use roller luggage that you pull or push easily rather than a heavy shoulder bag that puts all the weight on one side of your body. An imbalanced load is a fast track to an imbalanced spine!!

Third, stay hydrated!! Your spinal discs are mostly water, and travel is notoriously dehydrating. When you dry out, your discs lose their "cushion," making it much easier for them to irritate the nearby nerves. Drink way more water than you think you need (it also gives you a great excuse to get up and walk to the plane bathroom frequently!!).
